    Write hosts file on VMware Backup Host so that hostname of ESXs are resolved to its backup segment  IP address. When VMware Backup Host(say proxy) need to talk with ESXs(e.g. NBD), vCenter provides ESXs' hostname to the proxy, and the proxy identify the target by resolving this hostname. If you want backup traffic to ho through backup network, it must be resolved to backup segment IP.
