    I think that native Linux network configuration capabilities (included in BusyBox) should be sufficient.

    I am not quite sure what customization you expect to do for VLAN recovery. Plz elaborate more.

    You can refer below videos for NB BMR Windows dissimilar system recovery general steps. It shows NW and device drivers customization. It might help you.
