7.6.0.2 NB_update.install error

Hi,

 

Downloaded 7.6.0.2, but when combining the 2 CLT files and untaring i get the following error:

root@noc-netbackupM # ./NB_update.install

ERROR:   Missing required server files in /usr/openv/NB_7.6_Sparc/NB_7.6.0.2/NB_7
         .6.0.2_CLT:

         VrtsNB_7.6.0.2.README
         VrtsNB_7.6.0.2.postinstall
         VrtsNB_7.6.0.2.postuninstall
         VrtsNB_7.6.0.2.preinstall
         VrtsNB_7.6.0.2.preuninstall

 

Anu idea why.

    Danie, this is once again the Client patch:

    VrtsNB_CLT_7.6.0.2.Solaris.tar

    You need the SERVER patch and Client patch in the same folder.

    The Server patch name is NB_7.6.0.2.solaris.tar and needs to be extracted in the folder as the Client patch.

    This is the file that is downloaded from here:

    Hi Danie

    Welcome!! 

    I recognize your server name as the master server.
    This means that you need to have the extracted Server patch in the same folder when starting the patch installation.

      NetBackup Master/Media Server installations below require the Client packages above:

    NB_7.6.0.2.solaris.tar provides fixes for NetBackup 7.6[.0.1] master and media servers on Solaris SPARC.

    PS:
    The client patches consist of 3 download files:

    NB_CLT_7.6.0.2-tar-split.1of3  
    NB_CLT_7.6.0.2-tar-split.2of3

    Hi,

     

    Did exactly as you suggested, but i get the same error after extracting the patch in the same directory.

    You have only CLT (Client) files in that folder.
    The extracted Server patch must be in the same folder as the Client patch files.

    Please copy NB_7.6.0.2.solaris.tar to the same folder and extract.
