    These location are special file systems of some sort

    08/27/2014 19:00:13 - Error bpbrm (pid=12307) from client ihmac1: ERR - Cannot cd to /dev/fd/3. Errno = 20: Not a directory

    AIX and Mac OS X Server ??

    You need to ask the UNIX admin what is going on here. The message "Error = 20" is AIX error, Netbackup rely on the operating systems to read files. If the OS can't read a file Netbackup will be unable as well.
