Backup performance is slow though using LTO-3 tape drive via SAN

Hi,   Have any idea on getting 10 MB/s - 12 MB/s with LTO-3 via SAN ?   I did try using ufsdump direct to tape with the LTO-3 tape drive which has achieved 19 MB/s.   However, when I backup usi...

    I agree with Amit.

     

    As I recall 262141 (256K) is the maximum number you can have in SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS. NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS can be 512 or larger - just make sure you have plenty of shared memory.

     

    Remember to set NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS_RESTORE as well.

I will try to configure the tuning parameters.

LTO-3 shouldn't get the speed like 10 MB/s.
