Changing 'keep logs' in Host Properties

Hi,

After changing the keep looging to 28 days still we didn't see the failed and success jobs errors in status of backups.

After restart the services in master server(8.1.2 version) then only we can see or there is an any other way to get that results

The default 'keep logs' setting is 28 days. If these settings are changed to a lower value, e.g. 5 days, then all logs older than 5 days gets DELETED shortly after midnight.
You can see the 'error' logs that are being used for backup status reports on the master server under ...\netbackup\db\error folder.

Changing the setting back to 28 days will not magically bring back deleted logs.
It only means that current, undeleted logs will be kept for 28 days.

If you have catalog backups, then it is possibile to perform a file-level restore from the catalog backup, where you can drill down to the error folder and restore older files.

You can also look at OpsCenter. The free version allows up to 60 days records, but again, it will only build on the logs that are currently present on the master.
