Linux KVM machine client's backup

Hi All,

 

how to we take the backup for the Linux Kernal-based Virtual Machine (KVM) in netbackup 7.6

Is there any special method to follow as like VMware snapshot method?

    Older threads found say no VM agent for KVM.  Have to install NetBackup client software.

    Hi, appu1985

    For NetBackup 7.6, it only supports the backup for virtual machines for VMware/Hyper-V.

    As Will stated, You can install nbu client software on the guest virtual machine to backup data on them, it can't backup the whole guest virutal machine for KVM.
