Try Increasing the Domino server's "Backup Timeout" setting.
This involves adding a setting to the Domino server's notes.ini file. Please refer to the following articles for more information and instructions:http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH29863
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21229170
Note that Domino Server must be restarted in order for the change to notes.ini to take effect (simply using 'set config' in the Domino console does not accomplish this). You can increase Domino Server's "Backup Timeout" setting by adding "Backup_Timeout=nn" (where nn equals the number of minutes allowed by Domino to backup each database -- 60 is a good place to start) to the notes.ini file. Note that Domino Server must be restarted in order for this change to take effect.
