  • You have also posted the same query and marked it for PartnerNet group only: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/media-server-client-bptestbpcd-failed-25-0 This was my reply to that post: Telnet tests port connectivity in one direction only. bptestbpcd does a lot more - port connectivity to client as well as connect back from the client and also forward and reverse name lookup in both directions. I prefer to add -verbose to the command as well. Create bpcd log folder on the client before running bptestbpcd again. Is anything logged in bpcd? Can client resolve server's IP address to hostname that exists in client's Server list? Is iptables disabled on client and server?
  • Check connectivity from the client side to the media server. I think you're able to establish a connection to the client, but it is not able to do a connect back to the media server. Make sure you can ping and nslookup the media server from the client.
