Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nehant update 2 ?(32bit)

Is it possible to install netbackup client 7.0.1 in these OS.

  • All NBU 7.x are 64 bit versions - You can't install NBU 7.x on those clienst.

Refer to the NetBackup (tm) 7.x Operating System Compatibility List

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76648

You can however install NBU 6.5 clients. NBU 6.5 was the last 32bit version of Netbackup.

  • NetBackup 7.x does not support 32bit hosts. Use NetBackup 6.5 client for these machines instead, or take backup through NFSusing other 7.x client host.
