Netbackup Catalog Creation
Just taken over an Old 5.1 NB server, and I have a problem with catalogue, everytime i try to use bpsyncinfo -dobackup it downs the drive, i have an engineer going to look at that...
But what I would like to do is write the catalogues to disk, and I am not having much luck with bpsyncinfo... should i be specifing a path as i cant really add a media id..?
Bit Confused...
Thanks

Here's the UNIX Commands Guide:
VERITAS NetBackup (tm) 5.1 Command Reference for UNIX
http://symantec.com/docs/TECH32163Here's everything else:
Listing of Veritas NetBackup (tm) 5.1 Manuals and links to the respective technotes
http://symantec.com/docs/TECH50516bpsyncinfo isn't documented there, though.
You probably know more about this than me. :) The only TechNote I could find was this incredibly old 3.4 (!) one:
How to configure and backup NetBackup catalogs from command line.
http://symantec.com/docs/TECH15919Maybe you need an explicit -M <master> command line switch?
With cold catalogs long gone, I don't even have a way to test this command to see if I can help you determine output. So honestly, I have no idea.
Good luck! ;-)
