Netbackup client installation on Solaris 10

Hi  we have one client running at following OS. SunOS prod_btp01 5.10 Generic_147440-16 sun4u sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise current version of Netbackup is "NetBackup-Solaris10 6.5.3". ...

    Actually this would be an easy 'fix' for you

    Solution 1 is probably the easiest for you (it will allow you to set a temporary directory for the installation).

    What if you don't have root access to do so?

    Is there a way to declare the NBU_TMPDIR at the beginning of the install_client script?

      root access is a pre-req for software installation on Solaris and other Unix/Linux OS.
