Netbackup integration with SAP MaxDb database

Hi 

we are integrating MAXDB 7.8 and 7.5 backups with NETBACKUP tool.
when triggering maxdb policy from netbu admin tool it fails with below
error.

/7/2013 5:07:25 PM - Info bphdb(pid=5184) Backup started

1/7/2013 5:07:26 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=10511) from client andwkpro7: ERR
-
Script <"C:\sapdb\data\wrk\SDB\sapbackup\sap_maxdb_backup.cmd"> failed
with status: <1>

1/7/2013 5:07:26 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=10511) from client andwkpro7: ERR

bphdb exit status = 6: the backup failed to back up the requested files

1/7/2013 5:07:28 PM - Info bphdb(pid=5184) done. status: 6: the backup
failed to back up the requested files

the backup failed to back up the requested files(6)

 

Appreciate any help with this issue.

    These codes on the Master just indicate a problem with the database backup. You'll have to look at the bphdb logs on the client. If the directory does not already exist, mkdir C:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\logs\bphdb , then run the job again.

    I got below error in the logs as you mentioned in your reply

    SAP_SCHEDULED = 1
    SAP_USER_INITIATED = 0
    SAP_SERVER = XXXX

    SAP_POLICY = SAP-XXXX
    SAP_FULL = 1
    SAP_CINC = 0
    ERR
    -24985,ERR_MENOTFOUND: medium not found
    Execution of DBMCLI command failed - exiting
