Netbackup Lab Environment

Good day, I recently went for a Netbackup 7.0 for Windows Administration and started with on the job training. Im getting confused on some of the issues and would like to reinforce my knowledge and skills. Is there a way to virtualise the tape library like a lab environment were I can practice on these when Im home? Please any help will be appreciated, I do not want to work on a live system since I risk corrupting data or having some lost.

    Hi,

     

    Marek created a VTL that you can download and use for your test. You might just want to edit the configuration a bit (think it was quite big).

    Alternatively you can simply download mhvtl (http://sites.google.com/site/linuxvtl2/) and install it on a Linux VM. I run it on the same linux vm that is hosting my master. It works well for testing functionality and you don't need a lot of space.
