Oracle Backup Troubles with error attached
My DBA is reporting "slowness" as he has coined in his oracle backups. The client in question is AIX 5, the media server is HP-UX 11.11 and the master server is HP-UX 11.11.
He is seeing this error..
channel t1 disabled, job failed on it will be run on another channel
channel t2: starting full datafile backupset
channel t2: specifying datafile(s) in backupset
including current control file in backupset
channel t2: starting piece 1 at 11-SEP-08
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on t2 channel at 09/11/2008 06:30:25
ORA-19506: failed to create sequential file, name="oceanprdcf_s12337_p1_t665129690", parms=""
ORA-27028: skgfqcre: sbtbackup returned error
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
VxBSACreateObject: Failed with error:
Server Status: Communication with the server has not been iniatated or the server status has not been retrieved from the server.
How do I shed any further light onto these problem? Not sure really sure where to look. My filesystem backups seem to be just dandy from this media server.
There are 2 backup drives that are down right now in this robot but I don't think that would affect it.
