Oracle redirected restoration issue

It seems that rman catalog and NBU catalogs may be out of sync.

Have you tried to run bplist to see what is in NBU catalog?

bplist -t 4 -C abcdb12 -d <start-date> -R /
e.g.

bplist -t 4 -C abcdb12 -d 05/20/2015 -R /

Also compare system (OS) dates between NBU master server, Oracle client and rman catalog server.
If there is more than a couple of hours difference, date stamps may be different resulting incorrect search criteria.

In my experience most Oracle restore issues is related to name resolving somewhere along the line
