PBX client communications on NB7.1

PBX constantly has 100+ connections (port 1556) open on the local server even when no backups are running. The PBX log file shows 2,50936,103,103,105127,1334289464529,28144,1,0:,30:PBX_Client_Pro...

    Looks pretty normal to me ...

    Even with no 'jobs' running NBU processes are still talking to each other and it wil be these that create the connections.  The connects don't close instantly, but over a period of time as new ones are appearing , the old ones will be 'dropping' off.

    Checked a couple of machines here - and they are doing the same.

    In summary - it's just how PBX works.

PBX comes into picture only during connection establishment. Once connection is established, the communication is never mediated through PBX. So once connection is established then backup performance would not hit because of PBX.
