Remove client from Host Properties list that's no longer in a Policy

I want to remove a client in the Host Properties / Client list that is not in a Policy anymore.

The client is not listed in the "Summary of all Policies" or listed with

bpplclients -allunique -l

I guees it's some GUI bug since the client is no longer in a policy. Maybe it occured because I changed the hostname on the machine prior to it's decomission from Netbackup. Is there any way to force this?

Masterserver is 7.5.0.5 on Windows 2008 and the client is CentOS 6.4

    Have you tried closing the GUI down and reopening?

    Try from the command line:

    bpcoverage -c <client_name>

    Do you get a listing underneath "Policy Name" of any policy names?

    Yes, I even restared netbackup with bpdown / bpup.

    bpcoverage -c <client_name> on this specific client give "Exit status 58: can't connect to client"

    Other clients work fine though.

    Ok try:

     

    bppllist -byclient <client name> -U

    what is the result?

    On the master server as root:

    bpclient -client client_name -delete

     

    similar path/syntax for windows

    $INSTALL_DIR\netbackup\bin\admincmd\bpclient -client client_name -delete

     

    then restart GUI

    Also make sure that client is not in your list of:

    - master server host properties -> Client Attributes
    - master server host properties -> Distributed Application Restore Mapping

    There is no outpout for this specific client. For other clients I see a lot of info, schedules and so on.

    I get:

    bpclient: no entity was found (227)

    For this specific client...

    The "broken" client is not in the list. It would be x-testcent4.

    The X's is just me masking some names. Whitch Host properties do you mean? The one of the Master server?
