In job detail, we also see that netbackup is backing up ... files !!! and not working at block level.
Sounds wrong, how did you configure the policy ? Pls post a screen dump or similar.

Remove Netbackup snapshot and continue backup
Transport modes : san (mode)

Virtual machine quiesce : enable
Virtual disk selection : include all disk
