Snapshot Manager - Protect disk asset only

Dear community,

Could you please help me find out if there is any way of taking a snapshot with Snapshot Manager for individual disks/volumes in Azure?

I created a basic protection plan with which I can protect Virtual Machines in Azure, but it won't allow me to assign it to disks as well (the checkbox cannot be marked).
