Setting this in vcsenv is only applicable to our VCS product, VxFS will be enabled much earlier on in the boot up sequence and so vcsenv is not applicable to this.
my recomendation as per above is to upgrade to a version of Solaris update that we support.
From the documentation this is "Solaris 10 Update 8, 9, and 10 x86" where checking your /etc/release informtion you are only on Solaris 10 update 6
If you apply the Solaris patch cluster that will upgrade all the necessary binaries and libs, this should resolve your issue.
