Moving images from one tape to another?

    Hi

     

    You can use bpduplicate command or take a look at the catalogs tab within NetBackup.  Here you can duplicate your images.  Once your images have been successfully duplicated (this will be copy 2) you can expire each of the copy 1 and making the original tape available for reuse (you might need to run bpexpdate on them though).

    By expiring the copy 1 through the catalog interface, NetBackup will automatically promote copy 2 to the Primary copy.  The primary copy is what NetBackup uses to restore images.
