windows failed to start

I used backup exec system recovery to convert virtual to physical ,

in the virtual server used BESR 2010 install agent and run backup all system and used SRD (symantec recovery disk) in the physical server and then after recovery the physical server is reboot after that the physical server cannot start up ,have the error "Windows failed to Start ......"

 

 

Please help me !!

  • More details needed in order to help you ....

    1. What version of Windows?
    2. What version of ESX or Hyper-V are you using?
    3. What is the exact error (a screenshot would help)?
    4. Which partitions exactly did you backup/restore?

  • ESX 5.5 is not supported with BESR 2010: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH137684.

    Only drive C? Is the original server still available? If yes, can you check to see if it has a system reserved partition? If it does, you MUST back this up and restore it otherwise the restored server won't boot.

    I used backup exec recovery 2013 R2, check sw compatibility is OK but the server is error

    "Attempting Boot From CD-ROM

    Attempting Boot From Hard Drive (C:)

     

    BOOTMGR is missing

    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

    Only drive C? Is the original server still available? If yes, can you check to see if it has a system reserved partition? If it does, you MUST back this up and restore it otherwise the restored server won't boot.
