Netware 6.5 SP3 and GW 6.5 SP3 Incremental = Full

We just upgraded our Groupwise servers to new hardware running on Netware 6.5 SP3. We are using GWTSA to backup our Groupwise post offices. Our BE v10 media servers connect to the Netware agent and perform a full backup, and this seems to be fine.

However, if you immediately perform an incremental or differential backup of the Groupwise resources, it will be as large as the full.

This symptom does not occur if you make a backup of the SYS volume on the same server through server.Netware File System.

    Please refer the following technote.

    VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for NetWare Servers may not completely back up GroupWise when using the GroupWise Target Service Agent

    Please perform the workaround suggested in this technote. You are not required to create debug logs to verify this. Just perform the select and deselect operation and verify the results.
    Though this technote is mentioned for Backup Exec for NetWare it will function for NetWare agent as well.
