Sony DDS4 SDT 11000 on SBS 2000 with Backup Exec 8.5

I tried to installed the Sony DDS4 SDT 11000 on the SBS 2000 using Veritas V8.5. Backup Exec does not seem to pick up the tape drive. Does Backup Exec V8.5 work with Sony DDS4 SDT 11000? Can anyone please help? Thanks.

    According to the HCL at http://support.veritas.com/dsl/lists/device_ddProduct_BEWNT_media_4mm_prod1_NT85.htm
    that drive is tested, so it should work.

    Does NTBackup see and use the drive OK?

    Have you tried installing Sony drivers and telling BackupExec to use installed drivers rather than loading it's own?

    Really silly question, but did you (re)run the hardware wizard after hooking up the drive?
