Various Ways To Copy/Replicate Local Backups To Remotes?

Hi,

I have two small business office locations. For any one location, I would like the other to be the "offsite secondary" for storing copies/replicas of local backups. Backups are done locally to disk (no tape).

What are my options?

- Should I use Backup Exec to manage this? I guess I could setup a "Duplicate Backup Sets" job, but there doesn't seem to be much control over the destination (only B2D devices where the path is a mapped drive to the remote), and the usage parameters (like bandwidth used).

- If not, or even if Backup Exec is one possible solution, what are other options?

- Would it be bad to use some sort of dedicated "file synchronizer"? I guess BK becomes "unaware" of the duplicates? WHat are the downstream implications or negatives from this approach?

Thanks.
