How does the Windows Netbackup client software play with symantec backup exec? Can both clients be installed?

We have a customer who wants the know the following , I am still too new to answer this so I am not sure. 

How does the Windows Netbackup client software play with symantec backup exec? Can both clients be installed?

If there is  a link or another thread that answers this feel free to just paste it.

 

We are currently using Netbackup version 7.1
