I have the necessary RAID and NIC drivers available on floppies to load during the IDR process. The problem is that a number of our servers do not have internal floppy drives. I mustattach an external USB floppy drive to the server. The USB floppy drive is recognized by the Windows setup portion of IDR but it is not seen by IDR when the time comes to load the drivers after the data has been restored from tape. Is there any way to make this work with a USB floppy drive? Surely Symantec must be addressing this, as the floppy is becoming more and more of a legacy device. Server crashes during verify On a Windows 2003 Server with SP1, whenever a backup job is run with verify turned on, the server spontaneously reboots during the verify. If I turn verify off it will perform the backup without a problem. There are no errors in the Windows application log. The only error in the system log says the previous system shutdown was unexpected. The Backup Execjob history shows Error: e0008821 - Job was recovered as a result of Backup Exec RPC service starting. No user action is required. For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-34849. I have looked this up on the website and it refers to backing up a LotusDominoserver. We do not run any Lotus servers. I have installed the latest Symanted device drivers but it did not make a difference. Can someone please help resolve this issue?
