The agent added the company associated with my licensecertificate to my account. I wonder if there wasa way to do that without calling tech support? Anyway, once the account/certificatewas added to my account, the rest of the stuff was simple: just had to "return" the old licenses (by clicking the return button)and generate the new licenses. After whichI was successfully able toinstallBE 15 and the agents. -sul. Re: Error 1706 when trying to install SP3 Works perfectly!thank youfor your help! Error 1706 when trying to install SP3 I have BE 10.1 Rev 5629 with SP2, Hot Fix 43, Hot Fix 45, and Hot Fix 46 installed on a Windows 2003 Server. I am trying to installthe SP3 update, whichasks for "Veritas backup exec for windows servers.msi" file. When i browse to the file on the original CD, it does not accept it asa legitimate file. I have no other option other than to cancel, after which it rolls back and produces a windows error message 1706. I even tried the repair option, but the repairoption also asks for the same file with same results. Is there anything I can try other than remove and install the software from scratch?
