Don't laugh. Can anyone help with step by step installation of Mac Remote Agent for Backup Exec 2010
An old Mac Server 10.6.8 needs the remote agent. I am installing it but I do not know the answers to the questions. Such as - "Please enter a directory path you want to export as a published path:" and others after that. Quite frankly, I am not even sure that the version I am installing is the correct version. Can't get support because the version is end of life and there are no detailed installation instructions for mac out there. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.Restore Jobs start but stall, don't complete, or complete with lower job rate than previous restores
Most of the times recent attempted restores will start but will stall and require me to cancel them. I did one test restore last night that took about 29 minutes for one file at a rate of 1.00 MB/min. Currently I have one job that went to 99% complete and is just sitting there for almost two hours. Job Rate continues to decline the longer it sits. Previous restore about 30 days ago was with speed of 264.00 MB/min What could have caused this sudden slow down and how to I fix this? I am trying to restore from a completed tape backup from a server that is currently dead. I have made the selection from the media, but it points to Resource Credential from the dead server. Is there a way to restore some of the data from that tapes and remove that Resource Credential requirement?

hello i have 2 tapes with old Novell data i ran the inventory and then catalog but at the end i get a message saying backup set may not contain data. if i right click on the media i see some files should i be concern or do i have to enable something in the catalog action in the options maybe ? Regards
