Master server got rebooted unexpectedly while accessing BAR window.
Current Environment: NBU 7.6.0.2 running on windows 2008 R2 SP1 master server.
While accessing NBU BAR window, the master server got rebooted unexpectedly.
Anybody has come across this scenari...
We had Conference call with Microsoft and Datalink.
Microsoft has reviewed the dumps and says that the cause of the issue is a kernel mode drive that faulted.
NBWin made a call to a kernel mode driver which could not complete the request to draw the screen and so it crashed. Since this was a kernel mode driver it caused the server to crash out.
They indicated that this is not NBWin's fault nor that NBWin did anything wrong.
MS also says that there are no enough information available in the existing Dumps and workaround / fix cannot be found.
