Replacement options for Backup Exec.cloud
Now that Symantec has announced that Backup Exec.cloud has only one year left to live, I was wondering what the residents of this forum plan to do to replace it? Starting in January I plan to search for a similar type of product - one that can back-up locally, as well as to the cloud. If anyone has any suggestions as to the appropriate product and hardware, I'd appreciate knowing about it. Thanks! LarrySolved2.6KViews0likes6CommentsBackup exec appliance 3600 enable RDP
I am trying to RDP to the brand new backup exec appliance and as soon as I log in to the server it logs me off. I read some threads about needing to enable rdp via power shell and also saw some comments that only Symantec tech support can do that. I have installed Backup Exec.Cloud on 3 computers so far I think the product needs lots of help, Mainly the rate at witch data is transferred. All 3 clients had good bandwidth (at least 5MBS up and 20 down) The uploads are taking way to long. This morning i installed a client and selected a folder with about 200 meg in it and 9 hours later it is 20% complete, The other 2 clients are just as slow. This product IS NOT ready for primetime.Solved1.7KViews0likes5Comments
