Office365 vs Enterprise vault
Hello all, My enterprise is looking at Office 365 as an alternative to the Vault software. I am looking to hear about others experiences regarding this usage. Has any of you moved to office 365 from EV and if so ,what has the experience been like. Team, Can somebody help me with this. We are currently using SEV and our management has asked us to migrate to BMA. Can you please help with me some documents or some questionnaires or some checklist which needs to be considered for this migration ? Any road-blocks or specific issues ? SQL Query to identify VaultEntryID in EnterpriseVaultDirectory.dbo.Root
Hi, I hope someone out there can help me. I am currently trying to determine whatarchive some shortcuts belong to. The Enterprise Vault 8 system is no longer online & i have restored the databases to a development environment for this purpose. Based upon whatI know so far i have theusers default archive from the EnterpriseVaultDirectory.dbo.ExchangeMailboxEntry, however each shortcut i have been provided has a different VaultID. The EnterpriseVaultDirectory.dbo.ExchangeMailboxEntrydoes not contain any of these VaultIds, however when i search EnterpriseVaultDirectory.dbo.Root i find each of them but i cannot identify what archive they belong to. Onepoint of difference i have noticed when searchingEnterpriseVaultDirectory.dbo.Root is the Type of the Shortcuts is 10, where is the default archive is 9. Based upon this article http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/enterprise-vault-root-table-type-columnit would seem the shortcuts belong to a Mailbox Folder. There are two EV servers in the same companyand both have just Journaling. We want old Journal diskto merge to new Journal disk or add as a second diskand remove old EV server completely. First, there was one A_EV server (with Exchange 2010)andin a reason (environment changed) they stop to continue with A_EV serverand they created newB_EV server (with Exchange 2013 ) six months before. Same company and same domain but like AD, DNS, Exchange, Proxy servers and versions are changed.A_EV server was 10.0.3 versions and upgraded to 11.0.1. Old A_EV Journaling is not active (disabled). System is working forsearchingJournal mails.New B_EV Journaling is active and working.Both EV servers are the same version 11.0.1 We would like to move old Journaling datafrom oldA_EV to new B_EV server. Mergeor as a second vault disk can be added.Target is to keep data in the same server and be able to searchable. Then we will remove old A_EV server and just new B_EV will remain. ADFS with EV SHA and DA client
Hi, I want to setup ADFS between two domain Active Directory domain. Client A enviroment: Exchange server (SMTP Journal Archive), AD (user object and exchange object), Sharepoint farms, DA clients ClientB enviroment (hosting EV services): Different AD domain, EV servers and DA server ClientA want to have this setup due to IT security requirement, and they want to have ADFS to provide SSO for DA client access to DA server, and EV server SSO to sharepoint farm for SHA. Enerprise Vault: No action taken mailbox disabled
Hi All, I have critical problem, I have 1390 targeted mailboxes , but each time I run archive task only 316mailboes are proccesed and remaining 1074 were taken no action. In report I found mailboxes disableted But in actual all mailboxes are enabled Could someone will guide me how may I start workaround on this? Enterprise Vault Server Instance Failed to Start
We are running EV11 configured on Windows Server 2012 two nodeMS Failover Cluster. It has been observed that, If any of the EV server is restarted & later on If we try to move resources back to the restarted server, the resources are unable to move because EnterpriseVault Server Instance resource is failing to start & I need to bring the resource online on the same node manually If I try to move the resources to another node (restarted) after 10 - 15 minutes, the resources are successfully moving.
