Profile Synchronization only syncs few users and groups in CA 10.0
Active Directory Profile Synchronization is set to Automatically synchronize users and groups. All groups get synced, LAst synchronized date: Shows latest date (Search whole tree is checked) However only few users ~700 gets synced (Sync Date: show today's date and time). Total number of users is 10,000. Not a big volume and the interval between each sync is 8 hours. There are no event errors. No errors in DTrace. Seems the last time users were synced was Sync Date: 1/17/2014. Checked all Firewall rules and AD ports. Looks good and available on CA server. Any help is greatly appreciated.Solved4.5KViews0likes5CommentsAccess to research folder of ex-employee
Hi, One of user needs to access a research folder created by co-worker who already left the company.Even with administrator permission, we are not able to access the role assignment tab to change the permission. As far as I know, only the folder owner can change the permission. But in our case, since the folder owner already left the company, we are left with no option. Is there anyway to achieve this or does this require an enhancement from symantec?Solved2.4KViews1like3CommentsHow to put CA into read-only mode
Hi, We are performing DR failover testing and would like the EV and CA servers to be in backup mode. It is straight-forward to put EV into backup mode. We do have journaling connector installed and random sampling enabled. Anyone know how to do it for CA without shutting down the CA Admin service? The conern is we don't want the default sampling runs to happen at 8pm and 1am. But we do want to bring up CA on the DR server to test. I see there is an option to uncheck "Enable background processing of captures items". Would that stop the pre-smapling and sampling from running at the prescribed times? Hi, As per the administrator's guide for Compliance Accelerator, one must use double quotation marks when adding phrases to hotwords. Can I use wildcard words when adding a phrase to the hotwords? For example if I want to add the following phrase to the list of hotwords: a comp* word If yes, then how would I do it?Solved1.7KViews0likes3CommentsEmail Footers
I thought I had read that in version 10.4 there was a way to prevent CA from getting hits on hotwords when searching against the contents of a footer in an email. However, I have not found anything in the documentation or online. Can anyone clarify if this is possible or not?Solved1.7KViews0likes4CommentsCompliance Accelerator with Mailbox Archiving
I am trying to use Compliance Accelerator to search user's mailbox archives. I created a new department and marked the Mailbox Archive as searchable. I gave the ev account all the nessecary roles on the department. However when I create a search it doesn't run. I have another department for the journalled mail and I'm able to search that without any issues. Is there some other permission somewhere that prevents me from search mailbox archives?Solved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsCA 10 Searches do not start
I installed and configured CA 10.0.4. I created a couple searches under the application tab but they are not showing up under the Monitor tab. I created a daily search with a schedule and it hasn't done anything. Io also created an immediate search to search for everything from 2013 and after I submitted the search it didn't start and I'm unable to find any searches under the monitor tab. Not sure what I could be missing... I'm also unable to delete the searches.Solved1KViews1like1CommentCompliance Accelerator Client via Citrix issue opening .pdf files
We are trying to get our remote email reviewers to review emails by using the compliance accelerator client via Citrix. All in all it seems to work fine with the exception of opening .pdf files. When opening a .pdf file we get the following error There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again.(103:103) When the CA client is local with Adobe local we do not see this issue. We are running Adobe reader 10.1.7. and where others have seen this error but not related to CA the issue has either been due to opening documents in a browser or protected mode. I have tried what has been suggested without any luck. Does anyone have any thoughts out there? TeddySolved2KViews1like9CommentsCompliance Accelerator 9.0.4 Reporting
I recently installed and configured Compliance Accelerator 9.0.4 but I need to get reporting up and running. When I go to the reporting tab it says "Disconnected from report server". I'm assuming I need to install SQL Reporting services. I was hoping someone could provide me a KB article for configuring CA reporting.Solved777Views1like2Comments
