Problem with Restoring Emails back to Archive
Hi All, We had to re-hydare one of the users mailbox, which completed successfully. Using outlook we archived few months of emails into PST file. Now we want to export all the emails older than 6 months back to EV so I followed the below article https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100006546.html Disabletheuserfrom archiving through "Disable Mailboxes" wizard. 2. In the Vault Administration Console (VAC) >> "Archives" section >> Select theuser's archive, right click and selectDelete. (The archive will become marked for deletion and depending on size, it could take some time to be removed from the console). 3. Once the archive has been removed from the console,re-enablethemailboxfor archiving using the "Enable Mailboxes" wizard. This process will create a new archive for the user. 4. Set the following registry key on EV server and restart the mailbox archive tasks to apply the change. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agents DWORD: IgnoreEVDates = 2 Also, I set theIgnoreEVDatesEnd setting to20190208T01:00:00Z 5. Perform a manualRun now, on the relevantarchiving task, for the user But the restored emails are not archiving back to EV, I have got still emails from 2018 sittiing in the mailbox, Could you please guide me Thanks for your help918Views0likes1CommentShortcut deletion not working
Hi, We are facing issue with shortcut deletion for most of the mailboxes in our exchange environment. There is no issue with the daily archive task but it seems that the shortcut deletion constantly showing 0 result despite we have defined the settings to remove shortcuts older that 12 months/1 year. Technically, if most of the mailboxes always has items getting archive on a daily basis, shortcut deletion should be happening as well for those accounts that been with us for more than a year. I have attached 1 affected user mailbox screenshot which still showing email shortcuts back in 2017/2016 in his/her mailbox on outlook. Tried running shortcut process job manually also return with 0 results. Checking if anyone has any idea what could be the issue? Our current EV is running on 12.2.0.1437994Views0likes1Commentoutlook add in - support for mobile
Hello, we recently installed enterprise vault into our organization. we chose to enable the outlook add-in to enable users to access their archived emails. the add-in works nicelyon OWA and outlook 2013 onward(well after recent office updatesit required a bit of our involvementbut on the whole it works nicely) the add-in however does not work on mobile phones. reading on the subject, I discovered Microsoft added mobile support for add-ins only very recently. (https://blogs.microsoft.com/firehose/2017/09/08/microsoft-translator-evernote-onenote-and-other-add-ins-rolling-out-for-outlook-on-android/) where can I find about support from veritas respective? We are planning to implement the enterprise vault fileserver archiving on one virtual server with best practice sizing. What are the limitations for an enterprise vault server which is only archiving a fileserver target. Archiving volume? Numbers of archives? Numbers of archiving rules? Example (Best-Practise) could be: "You need an second enterprise vault server for fileserver archiving when you have reached the number of 1000 archives. Or when you have an archiving volumen more than 10 TB...etc" Anyone with good recommendations? Thanks735Views0likes0Comments
