Event 41021 - Archived items in Vault Store Waiting to be Indexed
All, Evault 8.0 - SP4 The VAC shows a Severity Status of Critical for the following: Archived items waiting to be indexed. The numbers is very high. I've checked for any Failed Indexes but none of them contain a "Failed" status for the Vault Store reported. I've also ran an "IndexCheck.exe" and noerrors are displayed. Enterprise Vault Journal archivinglinked to the Vault Store reported in the above error is working fine with no issues. Nightly backups were successful using the trigger filebecause the number of SAVESETS for the Vault Store listed in the above critical message shows a number way below the one displayed in that particular message. Question: Is this a concern that needs to be addressed immediatly? What can I do to assure that the above message no longer appears and the amount of archive items waiting to be indexed can be reduced? Thanks for your help! I’m running into one hold up with how I need to use the Vault of a Shared Mailbox. When logged into Outlook as the shared mailbox profile everything works as expected, I can move emails into the Vault, delete emails in the Vault, etc. However, when I’m logged into Outlook with my individual profile I cannot add emails to the shared mailbox vault. I can see At the very minimum I need to be able to have everyone with access to the shared mailbox be able to put emails into the shared vault while logged into outlook under their individual profiles. Ideally all shared mailbox users would also be able to delete email from the shared mailbox vault while logged into with their individual profiles. Is it possible to set the Vault up this way? Thanks. - S. N.Solved2.6KViews0likes7CommentsEV support for Outlook 2010
We need an EV Outlook add-in service pack or upgrade that works in Outlook 2010. Your Enterprise Vault 9 product , not due until the end of the year, is far to late for us to wait. I am rather shocked that a company such as Symantec would not have already issued updates that provide functionality with major player new software. THis is a major disappointment. We need a working Outlook 2010 client for Enterprise Vault now.Solved2.1KViews1like17CommentsSymantec Enterprise Vault 10: Enterprise Vault is not availabale because of your outlook configuration.
Good afternoon, Outlook clients currently do not show the enterprise vault add-in. I believe this is due to RPC over HTTP as it works when I create an outlook profile manually (not using auto discover). I saw a previous post on this (http://www.symantec.com//connect/es/forums/ev-client-options-not-available-outlook-when-i-use-autodiscover-setup-outlook-profile) but it did not have a resolution. I would prefer not to have to recreate everyone’s profile, but reinstalling the add-in would be an option. Has anyone made any progress on this issue? The PCs are all onsite and part of the domain. Hi, I am having some issues with a handful of users. This is the scenarion: Two Exchange organisations, and two enterprise vault environments. Users have been migrated accross from one environment to another. Almost all users have worked except for a few. Im not 100% sure the process that was followed as it was done by another tech. Whey they try to open an achived item, it just displays theshortcut itemand says at the top of the email: There was an error loading this item -- some functionality may not be available If I click on that banner i get: An internal error occured on the web server. We are running EV 9.0.0.193 Outlook 2007/2010 Exchange 2010 on Windows 2008R2 64bit I have done a client trace but there is a lot of information. Another symptom is that the archive explorer is empty even though when running reporting on the vault store the users have items in their malbox. I have check that there are no failed indexes as well. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Fernando ADDED: I have also checked the IIS logs for the connecting user and I have not bee able to see any errors.Solved1.9KViews0likes2CommentsUnable to retrieve archived item from Virtual Vault
Hello, I have a customer who is attempting to retrieve several items from thier Virtual Vault. Most items are returned properly, however there are also a considerable number that return the following error: Enterprise Vault is unable to retrieve this archived item. There was a problem opening this item. Try again later. The first line of the email body does show up properly in the preview pane in Outlook. However dobule clicking the message for retrieval produces the error listed above. If the customer opens the message through the Search Vault cleint then it is returned without error so we are reasonably certain this issue is specific to this customers Virtual Vault. The client is an XP SP3 client running Outlook 2007 SP. The EV client is the 9.0.0.1193.0 DCOM client configured for "HTTP-only" via policy. We turned up the EV_Cleint log to Informational (including Virtual Vault) and it appears that ther pertinent portion of the log would be as follows. Hi guys, I was just wondering if someone hasa detailedlist of the new features please? In particular, a client of mine is interested in the mobile device features, but i'm finding it quite hard to find out exactly how this works. For example... Is it an app/add-in that is installed on the phone to use these new features, or is it web based? Is it a free feature? Is it only compatible with certain mobile devices?
