SBS2003+Exchange --> GRT Backup auf RDX+überschreiben
Hallo Community! Wir setzen aktuell einen SBS 2003 inkl. Exchange ein. Auf diesem System läuft BE 11d. Vielen Dank vorab!Solved6.8KViews1like4CommentsBE 2012 and Data Domain w/ DDBoost
Background: So we have Backup Exec 2012 and two Data Domain DD620's. We have all the required licensing including the Data Domain DD Boost and replication licenses. I have installed the Open Storage Technology (OST) plugin 2.5.0.3 as suggested for the version of BE. Both DD boxes are visable and connected to my BE server. I have foud some documentation and a video that explains some of what I am looking for but not entirely and most of it is for BE2010. The BE 2012 documentation from DD is not up to date yet. I am trying to setup backups as my tape drive has had enough and is not working properly. Anyone I have talked to just says you backup to it, then I continue finding little things that need to be done. No verify, no precompression, some said no deduplication in the job, other said server side dedupe because DDBoost manages it with OST plugin. Too much information and not enough people knowing what to tell me. The DD weekend support guys don't know the software titles they just know the hardware. I need help now unfortunately... Question: What settings do I use for Backups? I have Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL agents.6.4KViews1like32CommentsBackup Exec 15 after Update no communication with vCenter - all AVVI jobs fail
After updateing our customers BEX 2014 environment (physical an virtual) all jobs defined as RAWS with transport via LAN are running smoothly. Accidently all jobs using the AVVI with vCenter are stopped and second the local Remote Agent for Windows running at the backup server is stopped at the moment tto snap the VMware VMDKs. The log said "communication error". The vCenter is reachable like before and running well. First error is V-79-57344-65304 followed by V-79-57344-3844 because the local agent is stopped. What is the cause? Creating a new trusted link betwenn backup server and vCenter does not help. We use Windows Server 2012 R2 and vSphere 5.5.4.7KViews2likes20CommentsCan't backup system state
Ok, next question... One of our servers, that happens to be a backup domain controller, we're using to run test backupswith thetrial version of 2010. The system logon account (which is same as system account right now)being used to backup this dc is a member of the domain admin group which in turn is a member of the administrators group. We have even tried with another domain admin account and get same results. Have followed the error link and tried solutions but no luck... ...andwe keep getting following errors on the test jobs: Error category : Security Errors Error : e000fe7d - Access is denied. To back up or restore System State, administrator privileges are required. For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-65149 We have also turned on AOFO (thanks pkh). Granular backups used to work just fine. Now for the last few months it appears that they are not working correctly anymore. The detailed status on the backup jobs show the following warning: "Warning bpbrm (pid=5296) from client DAG01: WRN - unable to setup NBFSD credentials, disabling granular backups". The job completes, but with a status of '1' and obviously granular restores are not available when trying to restore using that backup job. I have searched and searched and the only things I am finding on the internet relate to setting up NFS. I have verified that NFS is setup correctly. So this is not the issue. Any ideas about what the likely cause may be? Hello, I'm trying to backup SQL databases on a Windows 2012 R2 server box that is running on VMware 5.1 but run into job exceptions every time. The exceptions are below. The VM itself is backed up so I can do full disk restores but none of the SQL databases are backing up. Credentials test successfully on this box so I'm not sure what else to check to resolve this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated. V-79-57344-38727 - Backup Exec was unable to collect the necessary metadata for virtual machine to restore individual application items. Hello Folks, Using Backup Exec 2012 with SP4. Running into two issues and would very much appreciate any help. Issue 1: After every backup the following event is logged for one of my servers: V-79-57344-38726 - Backup Exec failed to connect to virtual machine 'SERVERNAME' and was unable to collect the necessary metadata to restore individual application items. You cannot perform GRT-enabled restores of application data from this backup. You must install the Agent for Windows and the virtual machine tools provided by your host software on the virtual machine. These are some of the steps to troubleshoot: 1.Remote Agent for Windows Servers is not installed or is installed however the Backup exec remote agentservice is not started on the Virtual Machine 2.GRT is disabled for an application. 3.Backup Exec cannot connect to the virtual machine. 4.Incorrect credentials were entered for the virtual machine. NOTE:The two most common issue for that generate this exception are no BackupExec remote agent installed inside the Virtual machine or Incorrect credentials are supplied to connect to the Virtual machine. If the Virtual Machine is in a workgroup or different domain than the Vmware Host or Hyper-V host and the wrong credentials are supplied for the Virtual machine the job will complete with the exception. I have installed the new remote client on this server after my SP4 install and the credentials test successfully,but the issues remains. Just wanted some clear concise steps of where to go from here. Thank you in advance! Jonathan2.8KViews0likes20Comments
