EV Client Reset for MAC book
Hi All, We are facing issue while accessing archived mails which contains attachment in Mac book using outlook 2011. When we face similar issue in windows, we used to reset EVclient on windows machine. In Macbook, how can we reset EV client and access archived mail with attachement without any issue. Regards, Vipul
Error Message E00084CA The data being read from the media is inconsistent
Hello, I have a strage occurence at a customers site. When I install the remote agent on 2 servers and start a backup I immediatly get the E00084CA Error. When I disable the agent and do a network share backup all is ok. It is not the tape nor the tape unit.. Local backups are OK, only remote backups with the agent on these 2 servers are not ok. we have tried another server with the agent and it went OK too... Hello Experts, As part of a monitoring solution, we have been relying upon the presence of below registry keys to detect presence of a VCS on Windows, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VC HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VCS\Base This however seems to be unreliable leading to false positives. I want an approach(could be a registry key/value) to detect a VCS with certinity on a Windows. Thank you! Ashish
Steps to follow when upgrading Master Server Operating System
Good Day, I have to do a Server OS Upgrade on my NetBackup 8.0 Master Server. Current OS = MS Server 2008 R2 Standard, Sp1 64Bit. Upgrade to = MS Server 2012 R2 Standard, Sp1 64Bit. My Backups currently writes to Data Domain via OST Plugin. Please advise the proper steps (Backups / Installation process)I need to take to make sure my Server OS Upgrade / NetBackup Installation runs successfully. thanks VIKASH
Move archive in different EV directory?
Hi, i have a EV 9.02enviroment with100 users and 400 GB data in Physical HW (this physical HW will be shutdown after this process) i have to migrate existing old EV environemnt to new virtual 2012 environment.I will install EV 11.01 latest version(without HW migration process) what is your advice for move archive feauture for carrying old archived data to new EV server? my new server ready to installation.but if i install new binary with new directory name and new site name ; then i have 2 different EV server witin same domain.i can move archives old EV server archives to new one? or what is your other suggestions? -installing under same directory ; can couse problems when deleting old Ev server? - 2 different directory and 2 different site name is better ?then move archive for 80-90 user (i know that move archive works slowly..) can i work with 2 different EV server within same domain? i can see other ev server name in mpvearchive wizard easly?(no need to trust because they are in same domain) thanks...
