Temp File - “sqla0001.tmp”
Hi All, We had recently upgraded our NBU OpsCenter server from v7.5.0.6 to v7.6.0.2, As per Symantec recommendation/steps we had performed the upgradation activity and it was successful one. Post the upgradation, I could see there is a temp file “sqla0001.tmp” created in the C:\ drive which occupies 10 GB of space, this resulted in creating a P2 incident daily which the drive space is occupied by the temp file. Also its taking a long time to generate the reports manually. As per the tech note http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH152870 I have changed the location of this file from C:\ drive to D:\ drive (OpsCenter software is installed in this drive)and this file was having more than 70 GB of free space, However after changing the path this file grows massively and created a temp file as “sqla0001.tmp” in D:\ drive which occupies 57+ GB of space. This resulted P2 incident for space crunch in D: drive. Also i do not have any idea why this file has grown rapidly from 10+ GB to 50+GB. Could someone help me out to fix this issue, it would be appreciated if this temp file is disabled/not created in any of the directory. Kindly help me on this , Thanks !2.1KViews0likes7CommentsOpsCenter Data Collection Error
Hi, I have a new 7.6.0.1 OpsCenter running on RHEL, based in the USA, which will be used as a global OC as part of a restructure of the backup team in the UK/USA/AP, having addeed two 7.6.0.1 Master Servers and two 7.5.0.7 master servers I am having an issue with one of the 7.5.0.7 servers, it failes to complete the data collection for the BMR, Skipped Files & Job Throughput Data Type, I get the following error mesageNbsl/Agent communication exception]: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: Maybe At present the Master Server is also connected to a local UK 75.0.7 OC and this has no errors at all, could this be due to the NBSL process being hammered as it is on two servers and also uses SLP Duplication?1.9KViews1like5CommentsOpsCenter 7.5.0.6 database maxes out
The OpsCenter database (dbsrv11.exe) maxes out the CPU. I have allocated 6 cores just to the database, and they are running 100% continuously. I have done all the obvious stuff: defrag disk, defrag database, increase cache (32GB), add processors. The only thing that quiets the databaseis disabling data collection for4 ofmy 7 appliances, the other masters do not seem to affect performance as much. I already opened a case, but support seems clueless about the database.Has anyone had this problem on 7.5.0.6?1.6KViews0likes13CommentsOpsCenter Creating huge (8+GB) temp file in the Windows directory.
Found that OpsCenter (7.5.0.6) created a ~8.3 GB C:\windows\temp\sqla0000.tmp file. It was 10 days old and still had an OpsCenter process attached. When I bounced OC it disappeared. This is an interedting location I would have expected it to use its own temp location plus site only the lower end of the "enterprise" scale.Solved1.2KViews0likes5CommentsOpscentre analytic s users restricted monitoring
Hi we use Opscentre analytics and Iwant to be able to create user accounts thats have restrictions on the account where they can view andmonitor the progress of a running backup, but also see the details tab of the running job so they can diagnose host level failures. Is there a way of doing this??Solved975Views0likes4CommentsAlternatives to OpsCenter Analytics
I believe I know the answer, but I wanted to throw this out there anyway. We are about to upgrade to 7.1 and wanted to put in OpsCenter Analytics, but with all of the clients we have and would add none of there pricing options are viable for us. So would there happen to be any third-party apps that could give us similar functionality with Netbackup as does OpsCenter Analytics? I have been cautioned against running OpsCenter on a media server... but am wondering if that caution is justified? I have a nice, big, beefy Intel server on which I'm running Windows that should have *plenty* of resources to handle load. Is anyone running their OpsCenter instance on a media server? Thanks for any guidance/experiences that you might be able to share! -Mike-903Views1like4CommentsHow to monitor VBR itself?
I have not be able to find any good documentation discussing how to monitor VBR itself. Things like, how many reports are currently running, queud. How to test the various processes are responding etc. Anyone have ideas or could help point me in the right direction? The minimum I'd like to monitor is to figure out if the vbr is "hung". At times the process list seems is normal but reports might not run.811Views0likes5Comments
