What is the best configuration for performance in the Desktop and Laptop Option ?
Hi Folks, I currently have a problem to copy the files of my clients to the server, the connection is very slow. I'm taking hours to copy a 1GB file to the server, I changed some settings in Profile in throttling back but I believe there is something that can be improved. What is the best setup I can do on Backup Throttling regardless of the environment that I have? This is my configuration: Thank you.

Hello I'm implemented DLO ( Desktop and Laptop Option 7.6 SP1). I'm in trouble with the high use of MPLS link when you start DLO backup's desktops . When I start the backup it allocates all the bandwidth of the link and compromises the use of other applications. Can you tell me if it is possible to configure and limit for the DLO Desktops use the 64 Kbps maximum for desktop link MPLS ? Thank, José Pamplona
Moving domain user data folder to new domain and username data folder.
Moved server to new domain. Computers are stillconnected with old domain and username Example Mg-mtmnwk moved to corp-mthompson Computers connected with new domainusername. New domain data folder created. How can Iclean up and verifythat all the older userdata and new user data is configured as it was and still bascked up without going throug each user infdividualy? I have about 400 users.DLO is happening to cause slowness on clients.
We use DLO 7.6 to backup clientsdata and pst file.i have created a profile and set it backup whenever a file changes and use delta file transfer for pst. When DLO start tosync with pst file CPU usagesseems % 25 and disk usage % 100 on all clients.Even i have tried to incremental backup and VSS backup for PST but nothing has changed so during sync clients cant work with their computers. Hi, Can somone tell me why reserved all available memory by the dlomaintsvcu.exe? Is there any way to set the max. RAMwhich can be used by this service? According to the sys. req. 8GB should be enought... I have added more 8 GB to the server, but 16 GB was not enough for it, so i have duplicated the size again, (32 GB RAMin the server)andmore than the 70% is used at this moment.The memory using is growing continous, so i suspect the 32 GB won`t be enough. DLO Upgrade from 7.5 to 7.6 with clients on 7.0
Hi I plan on upgrading my DLO console to 7.6 shortly and was wondering if this would impact the clients in anyway? Previously I upgraded clients to 7.5 along with the console, but Dedupe, even though it was disabled,was causing a high amount of IOps on our NetApp filer storage when the clients were on agent version 7.5. I had to downgrade all users to agent version 7.0 to resolve this issue. Has there been any changes made in relation to the operation of Dedupe on version 7.6? We have investigated deploying the DLO Mac client to our iMac/MacBook Pro population, and have run into some severe issues. I'm wondering how unique our experience might be, or if there's a solution that we should try in order to make DLO usable on the Mac platform. The primary issue we've encountered is that the system is unstable if (and only if) the DLO client is running,including in the background. After the client has been open for about 5 minutes, the hardware needs to turn on the fan because DLO is occupying as much processor time for as many cores as are available. As other apps give up processor time to DLO, thiscauses themto become nonresponsive, and prevents normal use of the computer. During this time, nearly any action within the DLO GUI causes the app to hang/spin, requiring a force-quit. If the GUI if avoided, this appinstability only lasts about an hour - at that point, nearly without fail, a kernel panic occurs. This forces a restart, and at next login the process begins anew. We are extremely hopeful that there is a solution to our woes - be that a fix to the client configuration, or an update to the app itself which does not include these show-stopping bugs. Has anyone else given the Mac client a try?
DLO Incremental PST backup error MAPI

This could be a network, disk space, or out of memory problem. Retry the operation. (8004010f) (MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND ) Local and Network space is enough, LAN Network is OK. I have a Dell Precision Workstation 650 with U320 SCSI controller and 2 HD's The capacitors on the motherboard leaked. So I replace the MB with exact same model of F1262. I swapped the two Xeon CPU chips and 2GB ECC RAM modules I am using the built-in LSI SCSI U320 controller. The original Motherboard did Disk-to-Disk Ghost in 35 minutes for 8 years. Now the exact same Ghost Boot Floppy does Disk-to-Disk Ghost in 1 hour 10 Minutes??? The speed per Ghost is now 400 MB / min. The BIOS POST finds two SCSI drives and both are: SYNC column = 320.0 WIDE column = 16 That looks GOOD ? I have the same BIOS A05 in both MB's. I have the same LSI Firmware in both MB's Both HD's are ST336753LWCheetah, 15K RPM, 36 GB, 68 Pin (same drives as before) All (F2) BIOS settings are identical All (Ctrl-A) SCSI settings are the identical I tried a round 3 device U320 SCSI Cable instead of flat cable - still slow. What coud have happened ?
