Hello, Currently when I click the restore button for an email I am presented with a dialog that has 3 fields: Microsoft Exchange Server: Mailbox: Folder: (This is read only and currently only allows restoring to the 'restored items' folder) 1. Is there any way to auto populate theMicrosoft Exchange Server field with a value as the end users aren't going to have a clue what to put in there... 2. Auto populate the Mailbox for the username that is accessing theviewmessage.asp page 3. Hello, We have a large number of users who had left the company but their e-mail archives are still present in the EV 9.0 server. Now we would like to clear those up by exporting to PST files and then delete them from the server. We would like to assign an administrator personnel to do the job via EV administration console that is running on a separate machine. I have set up a Windows Server 2003 machine and installed EV 9.0 administration console and give the administrator personnel the role as PST Administrator. However, when he tried to export an archive, he got an error message saying "Could not connect to the Migrator Server on computer EV9_SERVER1. Check that computer is available. Error: Access is denied". I tried to assign various roles, such as Messaging Administrator, Exchange Administrator, Power Administrator, and Storage Administrator, even combinations of those, but he still got the same error message. Can anyone please advise me on this? I was thinking that the PST Administrator role is the only role needed.Solved783Views3likes5Commentsto pause exchange archiving
Hi all, we are using eVault 9.0.1.1073 for archiving the the fileserver and exchange. Now i would like to pause the archiving for exchnage. Unfortunately the collegue who has install the server has left us. So I'm not really familiar with eVault. Hope you can help me with that. As i can see i have two task's Exchnage Mailbox archiving (Type: Exchange Mailbox) and Exchange Provisioning (Type: Exchnage Provisioning) can I just paused it for some days? without any affects for user? Hi team. Our end-users use encryption technology to protect their emails\attachments. Before Journal Report will be archived by EV, original encrypted email must be decrypted. We have dedicated serverfor journal report decryption process. But,if decryption server is busy (server isn't available, decryption failed, network issue, server overloaded,etc.), thenExchange server keeps journal report up to 3 days, until decryption server is available for processing journal report and decrypt original email. So, in worst case Exchange keeps journal report up to 3 days. After 3 days, regardless of journal report decryption process (was original email decrypted or not), journal report goes to journal mailbox for further archiving with EV. During these possible3 days delay, operator can see delayed journal report with Exchange Message Queue console. Operator can see Journal Report message-ID, but not an attached (original email) message-ID.Surely operator has no rights to see original email message ID. IDEA: Operator see that journal report is 3 days in queue because of failed decryption. He hands over Journal Report Message ID information(as the only one available for him information) to e-discovery team. Discovery team, based on Journal Report Message ID do a search and retrieve message from archive for further manual decryption. Would it be possible to retrieve email from EV archive using Journal Report Message ID? P.S.: Sorry, experience troubles with inserting pictures into this forum. Can't attach any print screens. I recently helped a customer change their backup location. We copied over a archived case folder from the old backup location to the new. Now when we try to restore the case, it fails. The error message in the logs state: 05/28/2014 10:15:30 Case restore failure: 0.2.1.0/0.6.1321.1198292989/ISR2/ISR2 com.teneo.esa.esacase.CaseManagerException: [#80116] An unexpected error occurred: [#156046] Unable to open data directory \\nscorp1\archive\CW_Case_Backup\cases\0.6.1321.1198292989-ISR2\ISR2\cluster\_lds_case_appliance_aru4sltoa3\data I noticed there is no data folder in the location but there is one in another subfolder. Display name of mailuser "ABC" will be changed to "Disabled - ABC" after mailbox is no longer used such as 01Jan2013. A situation is a mail back and forth with user ABC on the same day such as on Oct2012. Mailuser "ABC" was still active. When retrieve EV mail from complience after Jan2013, the display name of mailuser ABC shows "Disabled - ABC" at the top of the email.
