Error Recalling from Secondary Storage
Hi, I'm getting an error recalling some files from secondary storage. The error is event id 6882 Unable to complete retrieval request Failed to access file 'J:\Enterprise Vault Stores\EVstore01 Ptn5\2017\12-18\2\059\2059DB30C999293B54DA0D133FB8AC81~2D~6E9D4CD1~00~1.DVSSP'. Reason: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002) Operation: READ Reference: CNTFSStorageDeviceReader::LoadFile The files exists in the CAB file in secondary storage. I can successfully recall the file if I manually copy the DVSSP file from the CAB into the location in the error. So the CAB and DVSSP file isn't corrupt. Error is occurring with multiple files in different CAB files and partitions
SearchFolderManager and error 8004011d
Hi, I am currently at a customer and he got a lot of processing errors. In cause, some mailboxe get folders with more than 40K items (some have 100K+). I then tried to run the searchfoldermanger on one mailbox to test but no can do. I was thinking a MAPI error and started reviewed everything. Looks all correct. Let me know Cheers EDIT: I know I can change this max from 40K to higher in the registry but, would it not impact perfs?
Creating Read-Only Role in Enterprise Vault
Would like to create a read only role within the Enterprise Vault VAC. Know how to create a custom role within the system, but haven't been able to find any documentation that describes what each operation means. The tech notes seem to be deleted or inaccessible. Is there a list with what each operation does? Whats the difference in manage, administer, and view? How should a read only role be set up? I would like the user to be able to view everything within VAC, but be unable to change anything.Accidentaly deleted vault store database in SQL
Hi guys we have problem about vault partition we have two vault store partition in our enterprise vault let say 'VS for OA' and 'VS for EM', accidentaly the'VS for EM' deleted in the SQL server, and then in the VAC the vault store cannot be deleted, because EV always searching the'VS for EM' in the SQL server. we have try to delete connection string in ODBC via Registry and then we restart the EV server, but the vault store cannot be deleted, until we try restart sql server also the problem not be gone, if we delete the vault store the VAC will be shown "couldn't not delete the vault store 'VS for EM' because the Storage Service on 'mailarc.danamon.co.id' is not running" but we check in the services.msc, all EV service are running. we have several event ID and capture below Evant ID 41619 A transient error is preventing the execution of a SQL command. Enterprise Vault will try to run the command again. Command: 'EVSqlConnection: DB: Data Source=BDI-PRD-EVDB;Initial Catalog=EVVSVSForEM_2;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=120' Attempt: 15 of 40. Limitations for Enterprise Vault Fileserver Archiving
We are planning to implement the enterprise vault fileserver archiving on one virtual server with best practice sizing. What are the limitations for an enterprise vault server which is only archiving a fileserver target. Archiving volume? Numbers of archives? Numbers of archiving rules? Example (Best-Practise) could be: "You need an second enterprise vault server for fileserver archiving when you have reached the number of 1000 archives. Or when you have an archiving volumen more than 10 TB...etc" Anyone with good recommendations? ThanksMigration and Multiple servers
Hi, Customer is moving away from v11 fo v12 and also migrating his AD and Exchange. What doe is means? All the small AD domain will be merged in the actual AD Forest and under just one name. All the existing mailboxes will be migrated to the actual Exchange cluster. It also means that there will be some GB or TB in PST to import (O Joy)! I have some questions as my head is a little bit empty and doubting about some of these things. As far as I can remember, I can move the archives from one VS to another (the from the cluster). They are in sharing within the VSG. SHould not be too much of a problem, right? I do not need to move/recreate the tasks from the old server to the new one, I can leave them there, right again, no? Is the shopping service still needed in v12? Was not starting and deleted it (probably a wrong move). If I need to recreate it, how can I do it. Can I leave all to task there to lighten the Cluster that will be just there for consulting? Can I use the old server just for PST import and archiving? When moving an archive, I get this:Entered a sleep state for 30 minutes. Reason: The source archive is delete-protected. What does it exactly means as I do not have that for other archives. I know this is a lots of questions but I have some doubts and my head is empty (starting back EV after some months of calm). Thansk in advance
