Almost done with installation, not completed yet
Oracle Automatic Service Request (ASR) completed. Initiated walk through and transfer of system setup from Oracle to Symantec. Registering the support services still seeing issues. The Support ID is assigned to someone at Verisign. Multiple emails, phone calls to resolve the problem. Need to follow up with Oracle support next week.765Views0likes2CommentsOops - we have issues
Major curve ball now. The client and management network must be on separate vlans. We have everything as one in our lab network. Why did they not tell us before or make it part of the requirement in the initial document they provided? We have to get all this done and approved by tomorrow if the consulting has to start on Feb 13 – no way it is happening then.392Views0likes0CommentsReviewing the worksheets
Oracle review of worksheets pass (Step 1 done), and the buck passed to Oracle software engineering group. S/W engineering group will use the data from the worksheets to create the Install Template (Step 3) and Checkip Script (Step 4). Symantec to review the Install Template and approve. Step 4 cannot happen until Step 3 is approved.284Views0likes0CommentsLicense and Installation
Procured licenses for the quarter rack Exadata from Oracle free of charge. This saves us significant $$$$. Worked with both the Oracle sales team and the Oracle Business Development team to negotiate this arrangement. Initiated process to get the installation and configuration services paid for. The cost of this service is $20,500. Seeking internal budget approval.219Views0likes0CommentsLet's get Oracle Consulting involved
