Backup Exec permission fail on Isilon backups
I am having a hard time with permission issues with Isilon and Backup Exec. I upgraded to version 20.3. Whenever I run a backup job on Isilon (The server was added by using File Server/NDMP data server), I get the following error: Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account For the life of me, I dont understand why this issue happens. When I go into the job, I can see the files and folders with the main service account for Backup Exec. I have granted the main account with full control of the folders on the Isilon, but I still get this **bleep** error of permissions. Has anyone come across this?518Views0likes0Commentse0000f16 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed

Hi, we have a seperate pst migration account to run the automated pst migrations. It´s a seperate user because of compliance topics etc. This user is assigned to all pst migration tasks an the automated tasks works fine. In some cases the admin wan´t to start a manual import. We log on to EV as this pst migrator account and start the wizard. But the wizard fails because of permission errors. In a dtrace is visible that the task failed because the VSA didn´t have permissions to access the file in the network. Is it possible that the migrator wizard runs as the currently logged on user? Hello Folks, Wehave a client that wants to be able to switch off the permission-synchronization from Exchange. So if user B has permissions on user As mailbox, the user B should NOT automatically get permissions on user As archive. Weweretesting with the option "Inherited permissions" in the Mailbox Policy after Zapping the archive permissions. Any ideas welcome. Also if you know for certain that syncing the permissions is "builtin" and not possible to switch off. Thanks, Holger1KViews1like3CommentsEnterprise Vault Accounts and Permissions
