NFS TCP mounts fail with"portmap query retrying: RPC: Timed out"
NFS v3 and v4 mounts that use TCP fails/hangs when mounting on client from one node in cluster:
mount.nfs: timeout set for Thu Jun 23 09:19:20 2022
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'soft,nordirplus,vers=4.1,addr=10.73.222.117,clientaddr=10.73.222.104'
mount.nfs: mount(2): Protocol not supported
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'soft,nordirplus,vers=4.0,addr=10.73.222.117,clientaddr=10.73.222.104'
mount.nfs: mount(2): Protocol not supported
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'soft,nordirplus,addr=10.73.222.117'
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6
mount.nfs: portmap query retrying: RPC: Timed out
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=17
mount.nfs: trying 10.73.222.117 prog 100003 vers 3 prot UDP port 2049
mount.nfs: prog 100005, trying vers=3, prot=17
mount.nfs: trying 10.73.222.117 prog 100005 vers 3 prot UDP port 4001
mounts using other node in cluster are working fine and ping are okay with no ports blocked or firewall in between.
anyone faced similar scenario or have ideas on how to solve?
