Assessment of data from windows and vmdk files to BE3600

How can I estimate the size of deduplication store with data from both Windows and vmdk files. I tried "BEDAT" but it only Works on Windows files.
Backup and Recovery
Backup Exec 3600 Appliance
BEDAT (Backup Exec Deduplication Assessment Tool)
Windows Server (2003-2008)

    ...the dedupe tool is what Symantec offer in order to estimate how much disk space is required/will be used on a dedupe folder.

    If this doesn't cover Vmware, then there isn't much else. The appliance holds 5.5T of dedupe data, so maybe run the tool against the VMs themselves in Windows and try getting an estimate that way...
