  • You are probably appending to the tape and filling the remaining space on it - which means you have to give it a different overwriteable tape or cancel the job to get out of the loop.

     

    If this is the case then you need to look at your media set overwrite protcetion settings and your backup job start settings (especially if you do not have a robotic library that can hold mroe than one tape at a time)

     


  • Additionally, Can you please tell us, what is the native and the compressed capacity of the tape and the compression ratio that you are getting in the job.

    do look for the read /write properties, it may potentially reduce the overall capacity of the tape, just incase you think that the tape has enough capacity to accomodate the data.
