Backing up a QNAP box

I'm having trouble backing up a share on a QNAP Turbo NAS using Backup Exec 2010 .  The QNAP box is a AD domain member and it used to work until the firmware on the QNAP box was upgraded.  Now when I test the resource credentials I get "A communications failure has occurred".  I've tried using the administrator account for the domain and the Qnap box but it will not connect.  Any help would be really appreciated.

    Are you able to add the NAS via user-defined selections ?

    Secondly, if port 10000 is use on the NAS side, try switching over to a different ndmp port & rechk.
