Backing up Exchange 2010

Wanted to make sure I get this right. I am running Backup Exec 2010 on a Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit server. I want to backup my Exchange Server 2010 which is on a Windows Server 2008 64-bit SP...

    The Backup Exec Media server needs to be a windows 2008 64bit or Windows 2008R2 server.

    Reaon for this is the requirement for the Exchange 2010 Management Tools on the BE server, these are only availabe in 64 bit.

I am not blaming Symantec - I am blaming Microsoft.

I am also blaming the Microsoft specialist with Dell, who told me what I needed to backup Exchange, which was to upgrade from 12.5 to 2010 R3. He did not mention that I also needed to upgrade my backup server, even though I had given him all the specs.
