Backup Exec 12.5 with RD1000 - Will not eject cartridge

Hi
I have a small business server 2003 (32bit) with an RD1000 backup device (Server is a Dell 410). I am runing Backup Exec 12.5 which has all the available live updates installed.
After the job is complete it is set to eject the cartridge. It does not. Iin fact I cannot then use the external button to eject the device and have to go to My Computer and right clikc on the removable disk and then eject it.

Please can you tell me how to force the cartridge to eject.

    Search the forum for RD1000

    there are several recurring problems.  As I remember, some/all of them are cured by installing a certain version of the maufacturers management tool on the media server

    Hi Jay,

    Go into Backup Exec, and open up the job.
    Under Device and Media, you will see a selection called: Eject media after job completes. Select this.

    Hi Craig

    This is already selected. Hence the question why it does not work.

    I have seen details of a patch issued in 2009 but presume this was included in the SP3 and all the hotfixes I have installed.

    Is there a patch I have to install?
